About

Who We Are

The Uprising is a church family in Hebron, Maryland — planted at St. Paul's over a century ago, and being made new by the Holy Spirit today.

Why we exist

We gather to encounter God through worship, prayer, His Word, and fellowship, and we go empowered by His Spirit to proclaim Jesus and make disciples everywhere.

Where we're going

Vision 542 comes from Acts 5:42 — daily, in the temple and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. That's where we're headed: every day, not just Sunday; every where, not just the building; every one, not just a few.

How we got here

What we believe

We hold the historic Christian faith — and we hold it expectantly.

Jesus

Fully God, fully man. Crucified, risen, returning. Salvation is found in Him alone.

The Scriptures

The Bible is God's Word — our authority, our teacher, and the story we build our lives on.

The Holy Spirit

Not a footnote. We expect the Spirit's presence and power in the church today, just like in Acts.

The Church

A family, not an event. Devoted to the teaching, the fellowship, the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
